Statement from the Artist

Since I was 10 years old, I have always known I was going to be an artist. I knew I wanted to create and create and never stop. So I picked up a pencil and I started. My artist’s journey has taken me all over the place with mediums, styles, subjects, etc. It was always important to me that my work never stayed the same, and not just in skill.
I began my artist experience with a fistful of colored pencils drawing Disney characters and am standing now with an iPad and stylus learning to animate. I am completely enthralled by the human experience. I have always been drawn to faces, bodies, and clothing because I loved learning how each of us are so unique and how we show that in just appearance. My work has always centered around showing different bodies and exploring how they display their experiences, stories and emotions, in the softest and subtlest ways.
I want to take my artistic skills in design, makeup, fashion, video art, etc, and tell the stories of people who don’t often get their stories told. I want to share human experiences that are never talked about. I want to be an artist that makes people dig up emotions they thought they had buried long ago. I have spent the last 10 years of my life learning practical skills and figuring out what I’m good at, now I am looking for more, and I enter into the next stage of my life with an open heart looking to create work from my own experiences and share my own story with the world.

yours truly,
